Mr Eazi Biography

Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, was born on December 19, 1989, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, before relocating to Lagos. His mother ran a small business; his father worked as a pilot and later founded an aviation consultancy. Mr Eazi embraced both Nigerian and Ghanaian cultures while growing up, and that bicultural identity shaped his signature “Banku music” style, a laid-back fusion of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chords. He studied mechanical engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana, where he started promoting campus parties, running a concierge service, and writing music on the side.
