Little Simz’s Biography

British rapper, actress and songwriter Little Simz has continued to cement her place as one of the world’s most respected musicians. Following the release of her sixth studio album, Lotus, she embarked on a global tour while expanding her work beyond music into film, fashion and cultural events. The album, which explored themes of healing, growth and resilience, received widespread critical acclaim and further strengthened her reputation as one of the most fearless storytellers in modern music.

Known for her sharp lyricism, creative independence and refusal to follow industry trends, Little Simz has built an international career without relying on a major record label. Her breakthrough came with albums such as GREY Area, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert and NO THANK YOU. These projects earned praise for their honest storytelling, lyrical depth and ability to blend hip-hop with jazz, soul, orchestral music and African influences.

In 2025, she released Lotus, an album inspired by personal experiences, healing and transformation. The project showcased another side of her artistry while reinforcing her reputation as one of Britain’s finest lyricists.

Alongside her music career, Little Simz has built an impressive acting résumé. She appeared in television productions including Spirit Warriors, Youngers and Netflix’s Top Boy, where her portrayal of Shelley introduced her to an even wider audience.
